Launching The Blog

Well.....it is undeniable. I am a total rookie at this business owner thing. When I realized I would soon be starting Lauren Monroe Cosmetics, I rushed into buying a domain name to secure that I had www.laurenmonroecosmetics.com. In my typical fashion, without doing the research, I purchased said domain name even though I  plan to host my site with a different server. According to my host site, it will be another 36 hours until they get back to me with any questions I may have. A website will soon be up a running!

To update you on the status of Lauren Monroe Cosmetics:

1. I am up and running! November 22 was my first day of clients and things are going so well. I have the most wonderful clients. Thank you for all of your love and support. Check out the Studio Elements website to view my profile and services.

2. This week I will be signing a contract to add on a facial room. Until now, I have only been offering manicures, pedicures, waxing/tinting and make-up services. I am currently working on my updated services list and setting up photo shoots for the website. Thank heavens for my wonderful wedding photographer and friend Jessica Valle for all of your creative support.

3. The make-up line: Lauren Monroe Cosmetics IS coming soon. My perfectionism is getting the best of me, as I continue to put things off until I am sure they will be absolutely perfect. I can assure you it will include a blend of mineral and standard foundations. I really want to focus on making it easy for women to wear make-up. I too often see technician's overwhelming clients with products they don't know how to use. 

4. I am also still researching skin care lines. My criteria are: simple and effective, an appropriate price point and I have to admit............I AM A SUCKER FOR PACKAGING! This could be why I am in love with Kat Von D's cosmetics line. 

I want this blog to be a resource. I want you to be able to learn about specials I am offering and about different beauty secrets I am exploring myself.
